The mailbox migration tool makes switching email providers easy by importing email, contacts, calendars, tasks, and notes to SmarterMail from most third-party mail servers.
Below are the steps for Mailbox Migration.
1. To access the mailbox migration tool, click the Settings icon. Then click on Connectivity from the navigation pane.
2. Here you'll see a Mailbox Migration card. Clicking on the Migrate button will open a modal window.
3. Choose Other for any 3rd Party Email service provider. And follow the below setup
Type: IMAP (if you want to keep a copy on the previous provider) / POP3 all emails will be downloaded and not saved in the previous provider.
Server Address: Email provider MX record or Server name. (mail.domain.com)
Port: IMAP 143 / POP3 110
Email Address: your mailbox address
Password: your mailbox password
Require SSL: disable if your previous email service provider did not support SSL.
Delete Existing SmarterMail mailbox items: disable if you do not want to override the current mailbox email.
If the input is correct, the email migration will be worked on background. you do not need to stay on its page, and it would not impact your normal email activty.
