How To Setup Email Monitoring For Inbound and Outbound Email Print

Smartermail allows mail admin and domain admin users to set up an email monitoring event to target mailboxes. After it is set up, all the monitoring emails would be bcc a copy to the specified mailbox.

  1. Login by the Smartermail mail admin or domain admin role. 
  2. navigate to Settings > Domain Settings
  3. Found Events on the left-hand side navigator. 
  4. Click New to create the Monitoring Event. 
  5. Inbound monitoring configuration:
    1.  General
      1. Event name: InComing Message
      2. Event Status: Enabled 
      3. Event Category: Email
      4. Event Type: Message Received
    2. Coditions
      1. To Domain: Equals: (you domain) or
      2. To Address: Value: your target monitor mailbox.
    3. Actions
      1. New Action 
        1. Action: Add Recipient 
        2. Maximum Frequency: None
        3. Recipient: The target receiving mailbox 
  6. Save.




  7. Outbound monitoring configuration:
    1.  General
      1. Event name: Outgoing Message
      2. Event Status: Enabled 
      3. Event Category: Email
      4. Event Type: Message Sent
    2. Coditions
      1. From Domain: Equals: (you domain) or
      2. From Address: Value: your target monitor mailbox.
    3. Actions
      1. New Action 
        1. Action: Add Recipient 
        2. Maximum Frequency: None
        3. Recipient: The target receiving mailbox 
  8. Save.
